1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information collected through the Site and through communications that link to it. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications or services that we do not control, even if the Site links to them.
If you become a client, or if we receive your information through a financial advisor, CPA, attorney or insurance carrier in order to provide services, that information is also governed by the separate privacy notice we provide to clients under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and applicable state insurance privacy laws. See Client financial information.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us, schedule a meeting, request an analysis or subscribe to updates, we may collect:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and mailing address.
- Professional details, such as your company, title, and whether you are an individual, family office, financial advisor, CPA or attorney.
- The content of your messages and any information you choose to include in them.
- Your communication preferences.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and the tools described in Cookies and analytics may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information in aggregate to operate, secure and improve the Site.
Information from others
As a multidisciplinary hub, we often work alongside a client’s existing advisors. A financial advisor, CPA, attorney or family office may share your contact information with us when introducing you, typically with your knowledge and permission.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations.
- Provide, evaluate and coordinate the services you request, including with your advisory team.
- Send insights, updates and event information you have asked to receive.
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site.
- Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Comply with legal, regulatory and recordkeeping obligations, and enforce our rights.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers that host the Site, deliver email, provide analytics, or support our operations. They may use the information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Your advisory team and professional partners — such as your financial advisor, CPA, estate attorney or an insurance carrier — when you ask us to, or when it is necessary to provide the services you request.
- Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Bridge Partners, our clients or others.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site is designed to work without advertising or tracking cookies. We may use:
- Essential cookies that keep the Site secure and working — for example, when an administrator signs in.
- Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, that use cookies or similar technologies to tell us how visitors use the Site in aggregate (for example, which pages are viewed most). You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
6. Third-party services and links
The Site may include links to, or content from, third parties — for example, map directions from Google Maps, embedded videos, or web fonts delivered by Adobe Fonts. When you follow a link or load embedded content, the third party may collect information about you under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies; we are not responsible for third-party practices.
7. Email communications
If you subscribe to updates, we will send you emails about our insights, services and events. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can contact us to opt out. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send messages related to an inquiry you made or services you receive.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to the systems that store it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive financial information through the Site or by ordinary email.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to respond to and follow up on your inquiry or to maintain our relationship — and as required by law, regulation or our recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to us, you may have the right to:
- Know or access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information.
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising or certain profiling (we do not engage in these activities).
To make a request, call us at 866-596-3002 or contact us. We will verify your request using information we already have, and we may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authority. If we decline your request, you may appeal by contacting us and asking us to reconsider; we will respond within the time required by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Some information — including client information covered by financial privacy laws — may be exempt from these requests.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Client financial information
Nonpublic personal financial information that we receive in the course of providing insurance, tax-mitigation or related services — such as policy, income, asset or health information — is handled under our client privacy notice, consistent with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and applicable state insurance privacy laws. If there is a conflict between that notice and this policy for client information, the client privacy notice controls. To request a copy, contact us.
Bridge Partners is not the issuing entity of any insurance that may be received through working with Bridge Partners. Information on the Site is general in nature and is not individual tax, legal or investment advice.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if the changes are significant, provide additional notice on the Site.
